Game 110- Yankees 2, PawSox 1

The Pawtucket Red Sox bats fell flat last night, losing to the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees, 2-1.

NOTES- As mentioned above Daisuke Matsuzaka made a rehab start for the PawSox last night, giving up no runs on four hits in 2 1/3 innings.  He walked one and struck out three.

The PawSox also reinstated P Nelson Figueroa off the inactive list and sent C Matt Spring back to Portland.  Figueroa followed Matsuzaka into the game last night and took the loss.

UP NEXT- The two clubs wrap-up the short two game series tonight at 7:05p.m. Zach Stewart (1-2, 4.05 ERA) starts for the PawSox. Ramon Ortiz (9-3, 3.10 ERA) throws for the Yankees.


Game 109- PawSox 4, Yankees 0

The Pawtucket Red Sox took over first place in the I.L. North Division with a strong 4-0 win over the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Yankees yesterday at McCoy.

Game 108- PawSox 5, Indians 3

The Pawtucket Red Sox earned a split of its four game series in Indianapolis, beating the Indians 5-3 last night.

NOTES: Scott Atchison joined the PawSox to begin a rehab assignment for the Red Sox.  Atchison pitched the first inning last night and did not fair well, giving up all three Indy runs on three hits.  He struck out two and gave up a home run.

The Indianapolis Indians came away with a 5-1 victory over the Pawtucket Red Sox in game three of their four game series in Indianapolis last night.

Game 104- PawSox 8, Bats 1

The Pawtucket Red Sox dominated the Louisville Bats last night, 8-1.  The PawSox won three of four over the Bats and in the process, reclaimed first place in the I.L. North 1/2 game ahead of Scranton-Wilkes Barre.
