I have already decided that I will not be providing the normal pre-game info heading into this afternoon’s PawSox/Charlotte Knights’ game…unless events warrant.
I had a chance to walk around Fenway a bit and I must say, there is quite a crowd on hand for this double header. That’s good to see. The atmosphere between innings of the Lowell game is much like what you would expect at LaLacheur Park, fun and games for the crowd.
There is also plenty of fun and games for the kids out on Yawkey Way. Above you can see the rock climbing wall set-up right near Gate A. Below you can see an inflatable batting cage near Rem Dawgs.
The only downside to the day for fans is that it appears the savings on parking and tickets has not been extended to the concession stands. It looks like patrons will be paying full price for food, drink and souvenirs. Bummer…
The PawSox will soon be signing autographs for fans and will have a press availability at around 2:15pm. Back to work. Check back when you can.
By the way the first game of the double header is in the bottom of the third with Hudson Valley leading Lowell 2-1.
