The Pawtucket Red Sox returned to McCoy in fashion, beating the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, 7-1, in game one of a four game series.

NOTES- Lots of off-the-field news for the PawSox.  The Red Sox yesterday traded P Garrett Mock to Houston for future considerations.  The PawSox transferred C Carson Blair to Portland and added P Josh Fields and C Dan Butler from Portland.  The Red Sox also optioned P Clayton Mortensen back to Pawtucket.

UP NEXT-  It will be a special day at McCoy as team President Mike Tamburro and Hall-of Famer Wade Boggs are inducted into the International League Hall-of-Fame during ceremonies prior to tonight’s 6;05p.m. start.  When the game begins Jonathan Pettibone (0-0, 3.60 ERA) will pitch for Lehigh Valley while Nelson Figueroa (8-3, 3.83 ERA) goes for the PawSox.
