Game 16- PawSox 15, Bulls 10

I have been away for a little over a week.  I come back to find the PawSox in first place and winners of five in a row and eight out of nine following their 15-10 win last night over the Durham Bulls at McCoy.  Here are the summaries…

UP NEXT:  Game two of the series is this afternoon at 1:05p.m. Alex Torres (1-1, 6.39 ERA) gets the start for Durham. Ross Ohlendorf (2-0, 1.50 ERA) goes for the PawSox.

NOTES:  The PawSox had a number of roster moves yesterday.  RP Mark Melancon officially joined the club after being optioned by the Red Sox earlier in the week.  RP Rich Hill also joined the team as part of his 30-day rehab stint for Boston.  Pawtucket  also transferred catcher Matt Spring to Portland and added catcher Mike Rivera who was signed by Boston as a free agent.

Game 7- Red Wings 2, PawSox 1

The Pawtucket Red Sox began their 2012 road schedule on a sour note, falling to the Rochester Red Wings 2-1.

Up Next:  Game two of the series is tonight at  7:05 p.m. Brandon Duckworth (0-0, 1.35 ERA) is slated to start for Pawtucket.  Daryl Thompson (0-1, 3.60 ERA) gets the ball for Rochester. Boston reliever Andrew Miller is also scheduled to pitch in a rehab assignment for the PawSox.

Game 6- PawSox 8, Iron Pigs 0

The PawSox offense came alive yesterday afternoon as the Pawtucket Red Sox managed a split of its four game set with the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs with a 8-0 win at McCoy.

It was a pitcher’s duel last night at McCoy, with Lehigh Valley edging Pawtucket 1-0.
