Doubront, PawSox Staff Shut Down Mud Hens

Last night was a night for the Pawtucket Red Sox pitching staff to shine, as it yielded a total of six hits in shutting out the Toledo Mud Hens 7-0 at Fifth Third Field.

Felix Doubront (4-3) got the win for the PawSox, pitching 5 1/3 innings, giving up all six Toledo hits while walking three and striking out five.

Fernando Cabrera, Tommy Hottovy, and Rich Hill went the rest of the way on the mound for the PawSox, holding Toledo hitless.

Josh Reddick had a big night at the plate for the PawSox, going 3 for 4 last night with a triple and two RBI’s. Lars Anderson had two hits, including a double, and two RBI’s. Ryan Kalish, Niuman Romero, and Ryan Shealy also had two hits apiece.

The finale of the four game series, and the road trip is tonight at 7:00 p.m. Kris Johnson (4-9, 5.36 ERA) will get the start for the PawSox. He faces Alfredo Figaro (9-6, 3.91 ERA) for Toledo.
